Lessons and Board Rentals:

Most surf shops offer both board rentals and lessons. If you are at the beach and interested, just stop in the local shop and ask, they will be able to direct you to the right place. Most lessons are $25-$50 an hour and include a board rental. I advise all newbies to get at least one lesson before entering the water.
